Today we went over our 5 examples that used the derivative rule for e^u functions. Juniors received the notes and had Keytrain.

Today we found how to use the derivative rule for natural logarithm. We went through 7 examples together and we also reviewed 3 helpful logarithm properties. If you have not watched the videos from Friday's blog page, please do so.
Tomorrow I will collect your 3 worksheets on related rates and your book review. Homework: Book 5.1 Page 331 - 332 45 - 63 ODD, 77, 80, 81, 83, 84 Today students completed their test. Sorry I could not be in class today, as I was called away for a sick child.

We discussed questions on yesterday's review assignment. Then we went over additional chain rule problems with a short handout.
Test on 2.4 - 2.6 & particle motion will be tomorrow. I will also collect all your Implicit Differentiation homework from last week (Pink/Green WS (1 -5, had answers on the back), WS Implicit Differentation 1 - 10 only, Book 2.5). Any work up from 2.4, 2.5 or the motion must be turned in by tomorrow. Your work on related rates and the book review I will get from you on Tuesday, 11/26. Today we went over the 7 multiple choice questions from yesterday's assignment. Then students had 25 minutes to complete their partner quiz on related rates.
Test is this Friday! Homework: Page 159 39, 59, 73 - 75, 81, 103, 107, 109, 112 Today students received back their 2.5 Quiz. We went over the 6 problems from yesterday's worksheet. If you are still having difficulty with related rates you may choose to watch some of the videos from last week's blog.
Also, on WS 2.6 #5 should say the distance between the plane and the airport is changing at a rate of 240 mph. Homework: Complete the 7 multiple choice questions on today's WS 2.6 Related Rates Packet. Quiz Today I was out sick. :(
Students were given a 6 question worksheet on related rates. They were to work in groups to answer the 6 questions. Solutions will be posted on the AP Calculus page. Test this week (Thursday or Friday) on the last half of chapter 2 (2.4, 2.5, particle motion & 2.6). Today we went over the 2003 AP FRQ #2 parts a & b as well as the first two parts of the WS Calculus Ripped from the Headlines (Toyota acceleration problem). We also went over another related rate problem that involved finding the rate of change of an angle.
