Homework: Chapter 3 in Fast Track to Five (page 89 - 94 1 - 15)
Students became experts in one of six topic groups (corresponding to chapters 1 - 6 in Fast Track to a Five). Students completed their 6 questions and received feedback.
Homework: Chapter 3 in Fast Track to Five (page 89 - 94 1 - 15) To start class, I showed students how to access www.getafive.com for AP Calc review. Information for this is on the home page. We went over any questions from chapter 1 in Fast Track to a Five (page 52 - 55 1- 15). Then we went over the first two free response questions from the 2008 exam. We started #6 as well.
Homework: Chapter 2 in Fast Track to a Five (page 70 - 74 1 -15) Students completed a 3 part test on 7.1, 7.2 and 8.7. They received their quizzes back from last Friday.
AP Review session after school today from 3:00 - 4:30 in C215 Homework: Chapter 1 in Fast Track to a Five do page 52 - 55 1 - 15 all. Our first day back after PSAE testing. We reviewed 8.7 (L'Hopital's rule) with a song and then a partner quiz. We checked it in class. Then we completed set ups for problems from 7.2 on the Review Worksheet for chapters 6 & 7 (that was handed out today).
Homework: Do 6 - 8 on today's worksheet (review chapter 6/7). Test on Monday, April 28th on 7.1, 73 We finally finished going over the MC questions from the blue packet. Students received their 7.2 quizzes back. We also decided on review times for the next two days. They are as follows.
4/23 WEDNESDAY AP Review from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. in room C215. Bring your 2008 FRQ and your 2011 FRQ (if you got them last week). 4/24 THURSDAY AP Review from 11:00 - 12:30 in room C215. Bring your 2008 FRQ and your 2011 FRQ (if you got them last week). Homework: In Fast Track to a Five do page 154 - 157 1 - 15; Practice Test MC on page 229 (1 - 45, follow the guidelines for time and calculator usage). Test on Monday on 7.1, 7.1, & 8.7. Today we went over almost all of the multiple choice questions from you blue packet.
Homework: Have attempted at least 4 FRQ from the 2008 packet. We went over any lingering questions from the WS Volumes using Disks/Washers. Then students had a 1/2 hour to complete the quiz 7.2. They also were able to work with a partner. For the last 10 - 15 minutes we went over more MC questions from their blue packet.
Homework: Make sure you Students received a 4 question 7.2 practice quiz. They worked in groups and had solutions on the back. I also showed animations for the first 3 problems.
Homework: 2008 FRQ answer 1 more We went over any questions from the work on 8.7. Then we went over any questions in the WS packet Volumes by Disks/Washers. Then we used the rest of the time to start going over the multiple choice questions from the practice test (blue packets from the end of March).
HW: In the WS packet Volumes by Disks/Washers complete #7 a - d, #8 a - c. Also, complete another Free Response Questions (FRQ) from your 2008 AP Calc packet (you should have 2 questions done, #1 and another). We did 2 MC warm-up questions that used the FTC. Then we worked through 6 examples of limits that could use L'Hopital's Rule.
