Today we completed 2 AP style multiple choice questions on FTC. We also went over any questions from book 4.5.

We also went over the set up of 6 problems using the usubstitution method for integration.
Homework: Complete book assignment 4.5 and complete the mu We completed our notes for 4.5 on the usubstitution method for integration. We went over the 6 step process for using the usubstitution method of integration. The goal is really to make the problem simpler so that it can be integrated easily with the antiderivative rules (recall from 4.1).

We completed our notes and examples on using the trapezoidal method to approximate the area under a curve. We completed examples that included a given function and given tabular data.

Homework: Complete today's packet WS 4.4 FTC and do part a on the other side of yesterday's worksheet: Calculus Ripped from the Headlines. Make sure the WS Detective's Hat is completed. Today we completed the last 10 questions in the WS FTC Packet.
Tomorrow I will collect these 4 items:WS Accumulating Area (packet), WS Riemann Sums (using tabular data), WS Calculus Ripped from the Headlines: How NFL Teams Determine a Player's Value, & Book 4.4 FTC Quiz 4.4 will be tomorrow. Homework: WS Calclulus Ripped From the Headlines: New Jersey's Online Horse Wagering (use a calculator!) Today we went over 2002 FRQ #4 with its connection to the FTC. We also went over 19 in the FTC packet.
Homework: Complete 10  19 on the FTC packet and the WS Detective's Hat. Also, do 2002 FRQ #3 (on the back of 2002 FRQ #4). Today students had time to work on completing their book assignment 4.4. Then they were to complete 19 on the WS FTC packet. On the WS Detective's Hat, students should have completed 1, 2, 15, 16. Now add on #3, 4, 17.
Yesterday's quiz was t Happy Valentine's Day! Students used what they learned about the geometric definition of the definite integral and the first fundamental theorem of calculus to discover the second fundamental theorem of calculus. We completed 12 problems in class. Then students completed Quiz 4.2 4.3.
