Homework: Complete examples 2 & 3 in the motion packet.
Today we went over the solutions for Example 1 in the motion packet. Since it is Halloween, students also had the opportunity to answer any of 9 challenging chain rule problems for a trip to the treat bag. We hope
Homework: Complete examples 2 & 3 in the motion packet. Today juniors took a practice ACT and seniors had a non-attendance day.
Bring your motion packet to class tomorrow with example 1 completed. Today we completed the first page of our motion packet. Students also completed their chain rule quiz.
Homework: Complete Today we completed 2 AP style warm-up questions that used the chain rule. Students also received a 4 question practice quiz 2.4 that they did in class and we went over. We also looked at remaining questions from book assignment 2.4.
Homework: WS Step-by-Step #8 Today we completed our 7 warm-up questions with 2 of them involving the chain rule. Next we completed our 2.4 chain rule notes where students attempted the problem and then we checked the solution together. Lastly, we listened to the Chain Rule song.
Homework: Stud Today we watched a short video on how to use the chain rule (www.calculus-help.com). We also went over 5 examples of how to use the chain rule with polynomials, radicals, and products of polynomials.

Juniors had Keytrain today and the seniors went over WS #4 Step-by-Step.
Homework: Complete WS #2 Step-by-Step. We start book 2.4 tomorrow (chain rule). Today students completed the test on 2.1 - 2.3. They also turned in book assignment 2.3 & WS Review 2.3/2.2. Enjoy Homecoming weekend!
Today we did a quick 6 question review in class and students received a 9 question review. The answer key is posted on the AP Calculus page. Students also received their Partner Quiz 2.3 back. Make sure you know the power, product, quotient, & trig (sin, cos, tan) derivatives for the test tomorrow. Also review your derivative graphs from a given function (#7 on your Partner Quiz 2.3).
After completing our 5 warm-up questions (which reviewed limits) students worked with a partner to match the original function's graph to its derivative graph. Students matched 16 functions. Then using the same partner they worked on a product & quotient rule quiz.
Homework: Complete WS #4 AP Calculus Step-by-Step (parts a - d). Test will be this Friday on 2.1 - 2.3. |
