HW: Slope Fields Day 2 packet and also complete the matching problems on page 20 & 21 (yesterday's packet, says chapter 2).
Students created 5 slope fields on the first page of the slope fields packet. Then we showed how to use the TI-Nspire calculators to graph a slope field and we used this feature to check the 5 slope fields we just created. Students used the rest of the time to complete the day 2 packet.
HW: Slope Fields Day 2 packet and also complete the matching problems on page 20 & 21 (yesterday's packet, says chapter 2). We completed our notes on what a slope field is and how to create one. We also used our deductive skills to match the graph of a slope field with its equation. Students also received a short article on slope fields.

If you need to come in to do your chapter 4 test, please do that as soon as possible. Students turned in their homework from weeks 8, 9 and Blue AP review packet and completed their chapter 4 test. Students also received their prep book, Fast Track to a Five. Students should look through the beginning of the book, read the tips and complete the diagnostic test (don't write in the book). The book also has practice tests in it.
Enjoy your Spring Break! Students participated in the inner/outer circle review, covering sections 4.4 - 4.5. We also answered a few quick questions on the trapezoidal rule.
HW: Test on chapter 4 is tomorrow. Turn in homework from weeks 8 & 9 & Blue AP Review packet. We spent part of class doing a few problems that used the trapezoidal rule. Students also reviewed their Riemann sums. Students completed problems 1 - 5 in class on the review worksheet.
HW: Book 4.6 (there is no webassign) and do one of today's FRQ (calculator allowed) Test will be this Friday, 3/20 on chapter 4. Students used the first half of class to complete Quiz 4.5. Then we showed that we could estimate the area under the curve using trapezoids. We also saw that this is frequently data driven. We completed our notes on the trapezoidal rule.
HW: Complete the problems attached to today's notes (4.6). We went over WS 4.5 (1 - 6 MC). Then student had some individual time to work on WS 4.5 Homework Quiz. We went over the 4 u-substitution problems in class. Then we gave the next page of answers on the Blue AP Review packet.
HW: Book 4.5 (or webassign 4.5) is due tomorrow. Quiz 4.5 is tomorrow. Test on chapter 4 is this Friday. After grading the quiz 4.4 on FTC, we did a 7 question review on the 2nd FTC. Then we went over the quiz 4.4. Their will be a requiz opportunity on Monday, 3/16. We also went over the FRQ calculator question.
HW: Complete book assignment 4.4 (or webassign 4.4). Book 4.5 (or webassign) will be assigned on Monday, 3/16. Complete your blue AP Review packet if you have not done so. We completed our notes on u-substitution method. The idea behind this method is to take a complicated problem to integrate and rewrite it as a simpler problem. We also completed the non-calculator FRQ. Answers were given for the next 2 pages on the Blue AP Review packet.
