We also looked at the inverse of y = x^2. We saw that we needed to use both positive and negative square root of x to generate the inverse graph. Our original function passed the VLT; however, its inverse did not. We discussed how the horizontal line test (HLT) will tell if the original function's inverse is a function.
Students complete 18 question statement sheet about inverses, which we checked in class.
Lastly, student used the last 15 - 20 minutes to complete quiz #5.
