Students were given the class period to complete pages 3 & 4 of the graphing polynomials packet from Tuesday. This packet should be read to turn in on Monday, 12/4.
Students received a packet on graphing polynomials functions. They are to complete the first 2 pages today. We did the first page together and then they had the next 20 minutes to complete the second page.
HW: Do the first 2 pages of the graphing packet. The packet should be done by Friday, 12/1. Students received their tests back from last Tuesday. Students who wish to reassess must do so by Friday, December 8th.
Then we completed our notes of graphing polynomial functions. We used what we learned about end behavior and zeros to get us started. Then we substituted in values that were between our zeros to help create a good sketch of the polynomial function. Today all the polynomials are in factored form. Students completed the 5 factoring problems for the district math assessment. This was used as a quiz. Then we went over the study guide 5.1 - 5.3.
Test 5.1 -5.3 is tomorrow. Solutions to the study guide are on http://mrsseverson.weebly.com/algebra-3-4.html Turn in the study guide and any missing work by 11/21. Students received an entrance slip that had 6 questions. They worked on them in class and we went over all 6 questions. Students picked up a study guide 5.1 - 5.3 and are to complete it (skip 12 & 16) by Monday, 11/20. Book 5.2 & 5.3 assignments were also collected.
HW: Complete any missing work from 5.1 - 5.3 (Standard 15). Test 5.1 - 5.3 is Tuesday, 11/21. We completed the last of our 5.3 notes on sum and difference of cubes. We completed the cubes puzzle and finding zeros worksheet.

We played Kahoot to review end behavior of a given graph or given equation. We also went over questions from book 5.2 and collected it. We did an additional 2 factoring problems before the quiz. Students completed their quiz 5.1 - 5.2.

This was collected. Then students had 10 - 15 minutes to work on the book 5.2 assignment. 7th hour received their test 4.7 - 4.8 back today. Those students who wish to reassess must complete the reassessment process & re-test by 11/21 (before Thanksgiving break).
