Students turned in their study guide 6.6 -6.8 and took their test 6.6 - 6.8. Students who did not complete both parts of the test will need to do so by the end of the day on Thursday, March 2nd. Anyone who did not take the test today, must have it completed by March 2nd, otherwise the re-take process will need to be completed.

We went over the study guide 6.6 - 6.8 for the test on 2/28. All answers were given and we discussed how to find an inverse of a function, creating graphs of square root & cube root equations and function operations and composition. Students must have the study guide done to take the test on 2/28.
HW: Study guide 6.6 - 6.8 completed and test 6.6 - 6.8 is tomorrow. Students received back their Quiz 6.8 from yesterday. Students were given a study guide 6.6 - 6.8 for the test on 2/28. They had the class period to work on it. We will go over it on Monday, 2/27. Students must have the study guide done to take the test on 2/28.
HW: Study guide 6.6 - 6.8 Students worked with their tablemates to match 10 equations with 10 graphs and 10 domain/range values. Student worked on this for about 20 minutes and turned in their work. They used the last 30 minutes to complete their Quiz 6.8..
HW: Complete the 8 graphs given out yesterday (4 were supposed to be done last night). Test on 2/28. Students were given 6 graphs and 6 radical equations to match up. They worked with their tablemates and we checked answers as a class. Then we completed the 6 graphs on the front side of the same worksheet.

Quiz 6.8 is tomorrow. Students were given time in class to identify the a, h, and k values and then use those to name the transformations. They created graphs for 3 - 10 on WS 6.8 Reteaching. We also went over #1 and #2 on WS Graphing Radical Functions.
HW: Complete both WS 6.8 Reteaching and WS Graphing Radical Functions. 6.8 Quiz is Thursday and test on 2/28. We completed WS 6.7 Test Prep together at the start of class. Then we completed the last 2 graphs from our 6.8 notes, discussing how the square root of (-x) creates a reflection over the y-axis. Students then had the last 20 minutes to complete Quiz 6.7..
HW: Complete the 6.6 - 6.8 Test Prep/Vocab packet. We worked in the computer lab today on 3 items. Students used desmos to play a matching game by identifying the correct graph by asking yes or no questions. Then students worked on www.tenmarks.com to complete the inverse functions and function operations sets of questions.
HW: Complete the 2 assignments on tenmarks.com. Quiz 6.7 is tomorrow, 2/17. We went over any questions to WS Kuta Inverse Functions. We completed the first 2 pages of our notes on graphing the square root function, transforming the square root function, and stating its domain.

Tomorrow we will meet in computer lab A; go through the Sabre Center. Students were each given a particular equation and asked to find the inverse of it (which another peer had). Students then moved onto the pink sheet, where they were asked to match the function with its inverse.
HW: Complete the pink sheet: matching inverse functions. |
