HW: WS 3.5
After completing our warm-up problem, students had the rest of class to complete the WS 3.5. For those students who finished, they were given a Halloween puzzle of matching the person in everyday life to the person at the costume party.
HW: WS 3.5 Students received their quizzes back from yesterday. We went over common errors. Then we completed our notes on section 3.5 (determining if lines are parallel). We started WS 3.5 side A together, completing 1 - 7.

Then we completed the WS Dinky King as a class. Students had about 15 - 20 minutes to complete the quiz 3.3 - 3.4.
HW: None if you turned in WS 3.3 and 3.4. Students were given a warm-up question at the start of class. We determined the alternate exterior angles were congruent since the lines were parallel. We made the two angles equal to each other and solved the equation. We did a second problem that involved same-side interior angles. Then students completed 4 - 6 problems in pairs using the inner/outer circle technique.
HW: Quiz 3.3 - 3.4 tomorrow. Complete and turn in WS 3.3 and WS 3.4 if you have not yet done so. We started with a warm-up problem usiing parallel lines cut by a transversal and alternate exterior angles were given. We made an equation (set the 2 angles equal to each other) and solve it to find the value of the variable. We did another example that used same-side interior angles. Then students had the opportunity to practice about 5 more problems in our inner-outer circle activity. We also went over any questions on WS 3.4 and this was collected. Students were give the WS Dinky King to complete for homework.
HW: Quiz 3.3 - 3.4 tomorrow. Complete WS Dinky King. We started with an entrance slip that had students classify 2 given angles. Then we completed the last page of our 3.4 notes. Students had about 20 minutes to work on either WS 3.3 (due today) or WS 3.4.
HW: WS 3.4 (complete both sides) for tomorrow. Quiz on Wednesday on 3.3 - 3.4. We completed the first three pages of our notes from section 3.4. We watched 2 videos which are on the Geometry with Support page. We also used GeoGebra to investigate the relationship between corresponding angles if the lines were parallel.
HW: WS 3.3 both sides should be completed and turned in and WS 3.4 side A should be done. We went over any questions on yesterday's practice quiz and completed our notes on classification of angles formed by a transversal. Students had about 20 - 25 minutes to complete their quiz. Second hour also went over WS 3.3 side A in class.
HW: Complete WS 3.3 sides A and B. Students were given the first 15 minutes of class to work on the quiz review worksheet. We went over some problems together. Then we looked at the 4 different types of angles that are formed by a transversal (a line that cuts through at least 2 other lines).
HW: Complete your quiz review that was given out today in class. Quiz is tomorrow, 10/22. Complete WS 3.3 side A. Due to my attendance at a district meeting, students were given the class time to complete a worksheet that reviewed angle bisectors. Many students turned this in before leaving class.
