Today we went over and collected WS 3.5. Students received a worksheet where they had to find all missing angles in the Dinky King game.
Homework: Complete the WS Dinky King ReQuiz on 3.1 - 3.4 will be tomorrow for those who scored 10 points or less. Today sophomores took the PLAN test, juniors took a practice ACT and seniors had a non-attendance day.
Students completed the district practice NGA in class today.
Homework: Complete yu Today students received their quiz from last Thursday and we went over common errors, especially the last 3 problems. Students scoring a 10 or lower will requiz on Thursday.
We also completed our notes on proving lines parallel. Use the link below for more examples. http://www.brightstorm.com/math/precalculus/equations-of-lines-parabolas-circles/converse-of-parallel-lines-theorem/ Homework: WS 3.5 (both sides) will be collectedon Thursday Today we completed warm-up questions on identifying types of angles formed by 2 lines cut by a transversal. We went over the review worksheet 3.1 - 3.4 and collected it.
Lastly, students completed the quiz on 3.1 - 3.4. Enjoy your three day weekend! Today we did a quick summary of the work we did yesterday and took time to focus on how to do problems that involve solving for a varaible. We still ask the same essential question when given two parallel lines cut by a transversal: are the angles the same or different?
We also went over questions on yesterday's WS 3.4 and turned it in. Homework: Book assignment 3.4 (on last page of today's handour) Today we used TI-Nspire calculators (1st hour) & Geogebra (3rd hour) to investigate the relationship between the angles cut by transversal if the lines were parallel. We concluded that only the same-side interior angles were supplementary and the other 3 types of angles (corresponding, alternate interior, & alternate exterior) would be congruent. Another way to say this is that all the acute angles will have the same measure and all the obtuse angles will have the same measure.
Homework: WS 3.4 (both sides - we completed side A together in class). We completed 2 - 15 in class. Students completed a short quiz on 3.1 & 3.3. They also turned in WS 3.1 & WS 3.3. Please finish the 2.3 book assignment if you have nEnjoy Homecoming weekend!
Today we completed our notes on the 4 types of angles formed when 2 lines are cut by a
transversal. Students had time to complete WS 3.3 (both sides). This will be collected on Friday, 10/18. Short quiz on 3.1 & 3.3 tomorrow. Those tak Due to PSAT testing for sophomores, the juniors & seniors met in the Computer
