Homework: be ready to turn in your ramp analysis worksheet and complete your TenMarks assignment(s) at
Students received their quizzes from last Thursday and we went over slope and slope-intercept form, including how to graph a line. Requiz for those scoring less than 14 points will be this Wednesday, October 2nd. We also completed our ramp analysis worksheet and it will be collected tomorrow. First hour also completed the TI-Nspire activy Dog Days or Dog Years.
Homework: be ready to turn in your ramp analysis worksheet and complete your TenMarks assignment(s) at Today we went over the review worksheet and took a short quiz on slope-intercept form. Then we went outside and measured the rise and run of 3 ramps. We will use these values do determine if the ramps are meeting the state ADA code for ramps.
Homework: please complete your TenMarks assignment(s) if you have not done so Today we reviewed how to graph a line and we were able to identify the slope and y-intercept from a given equation. Students received a review worksheet and had time to work on it in class. Students also completed the requiz on slope.
Homework: Complete the review worksheet and a short quiz on graphing lines & slope-intercept form. Please complete your (slope) TenMarks assignment(s). Today we went over yesterday's worksheet and collected it. We completed our notes on graphing a line.
The Slope Re-Quiz for those scoring 8 or lower is tomorrow, 9/25. If you are going to requiz, please complete the TenMarks assignment (it was due last Friday, but it is open again). Homework: complete the Worksheet on the last page of the notes. Want more practice/review on graphing a line? Re-quiz for those scoring an 8 or lower will be this Wednesday, Sept. 25th. We completed our notes on slope-intercept form (y = mx + b).
Homework: complete the attached problems on today's note sheet (last page) Use the link below for review/practice on slope-intercept. http://www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra/linear-equations-and-inequalitie/equation-of-a-line/v/linear-equations-in-slope-intercept-form http://www.brightstorm.com/math/algebra/linear-equations-and-their-graphs/writing-equations-in-slope-intercept-form/ (click the 4 problem tabs to see more examples) Today we completed a review of slope and the slopes of parallel & perpendicular lines. Students turned in their slope worksheets and then completed the slope quiz.
Homework: complete your electronic (slope) assignment on www.tenmarks.com by the end of the day (9/21). Today we went over the Slope (#3) worksheet from yesterday. We also spent a lot of time reviewing how to determine the slope of a line, and determining if lines are parallel, perpendicular or neither.
Homework: Complete the TenMarks assignment on www.tenmarks.com and study for your slope quiz (tomorrow, 9/21). Today we went over the conclusions students reached on slope worksheet #2. We discovered that parallel lines have the same slopes and perpendicular lines have opposite reciprocals. Students received a worksheet and had 15 minutes in class to complete. We did problems 1, 2, and 7 together. This will be collected tomorrow. Students also have a new TenMarks assignment (on slope) to be completed by the end of the day Friday, 9/20.
Today we checked the work we did yesterday on slope (worksheet 1 - 12). We also used class time to work on today's worksheet (discovery of the slopes of parallel & perpendicular lines)where we graphed two lines on a grid and examined their slopes. This worksheet will be collected tomorrow.
Today we discussed how to calculate the slope between two points. Still wondering about slope? Use the video link below for additional practice.
