HW: Enjoy your Spring Break!
We completed a Kahoot review of 17 questions that involved simplifying and multiplying radicals. The 3 worksheets that we worked on this week were collected.
HW: Enjoy your Spring Break! Students worked in class on the day 3 worksheet which involved multiplying and simplifying radicals. We also reviewed the Pythagorean theorem with radicals.
HW: Complete today's worksheet (both sides). We reviewed using the FACTOR feature on the TI-Nspire to help us simplify radicals. We went through about 10 problems together and students had the remaining class time to complete yesterday's worksheet and today worksheet on simplifying radicals.
HW: Complete both worksheets. Do not simply write the decimal approximation, unless the value is exact. Students used the TI-Nspire to work on simplifying radicals. We showed how to use the factor feature of the calculator (hit MENU, then Number, then FACTOR). This helped us simplify radicals with larger radicands.
Students also received their test back from last week on similarity. Students had 20 minutes of the time in class to work using the calculators. Students had time to complete the district pre-assessment on similarity and right triangle trigonometry.
HW: Enjoy the weekend! Students completed their test on triangle similarity and similar figures.
Students had 15 minutes to collaborate with each other on their review packet. Then we went over most problems in the packet.
HW: Complete any missing work from 7.1 - 7.5. Test is tomorrow! We went over every problem from Quiz 7.2 - 7.4. Then students were given a review packet covering sections 7.1 - 7.5. Test will be this Thursday.
HW: Complete WS Review Similarity (7.1 - 7.5) Students completed Quiz 7.2 - 7.4. They had the rest of the remaining class period to complete WS 7.5 (from yesterday).
HW: Be ready to turn in WS 7.5 on Monday, 3/14. Students completed an in-depth warm-up problem that used AA similarity and its similarity statement to find missing lengths in a given diagram. Then we went over a few problems from WS 7.4. We completed our note for section 7.5.
HW: Be ready for quiz 7.2 - 7.4 tomorrow, 3/11. All work through section 7.4 should be done. |
