HW: Complete the attached WS 5.6 side A.
Students constructed a triangle and then used paper folding to construct its 3 perpendicular bisectors. Students found the for acute triangles the point of concurrency was inside the triangle, a right triangle had its point (of concurrency) on the hypotenuse, while the obtuse triangle had its point (of concurrency) outside the triangle. We used GeoGebra to show that the point of concurrency, called the orthocenter, is equidistant from the 3 vertices of a triangle. From another paper folding activity, we say that a point on the perpendicular bisector is equidistant from the endpoints of the segment. We completed our 5.6 notes.
