HW: If you have not yet done so, complete your 2 electronic assignments on http://www.tenmarks.com by today at midnight. Email me if you need your login info.
Students completed their test on Unit 6, turned in their practice test and any other missing work.
HW: If you have not yet done so, complete your 2 electronic assignments on http://www.tenmarks.com by today at midnight. Email me if you need your login info. We completed our practice test for unit 6 in class today. We also went over some additional problems from the beginning of the unit with the largest angle being across from the longest side and the triangle inequality theorem.
HW: Test is tomorrow Unit 6. Turn in any missing work and complete your 2 electronic assignments on http://www.tenmarks.com by 1/30/2015. We went over and collected the day 2 assignment. Students were given a 12 question exit slip that was turned in by the end of class. Students also received a practice test for unit 6. Test will be this Friday, January 30th.
HW: Complete the first page (front and back) of the practice test. Today we went over and collected WS 5.6 day 1. We also used patty paper to construction the angle bisector and also the incenter of a triangle. We found the incenter is equidistant from the 3 sides of a triangle. Then students were given a task of finding a central location given 3 points. They used patty paper for this and turned it in.
HW: WS 5.6 Day 2 Today we used patty paper to construct perpendicular bisectors of a segment. We then added a third point and constructed (folded) the 2 other perpendicular bisectors. The point of intersection of all 3 perpendicular bisectors is the circumcenter of the triangle and we found that it was equidistant from the 3 vertices of a triangle. Then we completed our notes for section 5.6.
HW: Complete day 1 of the attached WS 5.6. On side B, skip #10. Also complete your electronic assignment on www.tenmarks.com. We went over any remaining questions from the packet 5.2 - 5.4, completing the last page together in class. This packet, containing 4 days of homework, was collected today. Students then had 25 - 30 minutes to complete the quiz 5.2 - 5.4. Second hour also had a quick PBIS refresher on unity.
HW: None if you turned in your completed packet 5.2 - 5.4 and did your electronic assignment at www.tenmarks.com . We completed an in class review of proving triangles congruent (using SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, & HL), medians and altitudes. Tomorrow we will have our first quiz of the semester on these sections.
HW: Complete your 5.2 - 5.4 packet except for the last page and do the first electronic assignment on www.tenmarks.com . We completed our in class worksheet that had 18 diagrams that students needed to determine if the triangles were congruent. Students provided a reason and a congruence statement.
HW: Complete the rest of the packet 5.2 - 5.4 except for the last page. Today we reviewed the 5 ways to prove triangles congruent: SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, and HL. Students must identify the evidence and decide if one of these 5 reasons can be used. We spent more time on SAS, ASA and HL today.
Homework: Complete the front and back of the day 2 homework in your 5.2 - 5.4 packet. Today we examined how we could prove 2 triangles congruent. We found 5 ways to prove triangles congruent: SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, and HL. Students must identify the evidence and decide if one of these 5 reasons can be used. To use the app from class go to the Geometry With Support page.
Homework: Complete the front and back of the day 1 homework in your 5.2 - 5.4 packet. |
