Students completed an 8 question review of section 10.4 - 10.5 in class. We went over this together. Students also received the practice test on trig ratios and applications of trig ratios. They are to complete the first back front and back today.
They received their quizzes back from last Friday. HW: Complete the first back front and back of the WS Practice Test. Test will be on Wednesday, 4/27. Turn in any of your work from 10.6 We started by playing a 10 question review on Kahoot. Then we went through 4 drawings together for the problems on the front side of the day 3 WS Angles of Elevation/Depression. During the last 12 minutes student completed the quiz 10.6.
HW: Turn in your work from 10.6 (in Standard 12) and complete the 3 worksheets you have on angles of elevation/depression. These will be collected on Monday. Test will be Wednesday, 4/27. After we worked out the last problem from yesterday's notes, students used the rest of class to work on the attached WS on angles of elevation and depression. They were given a the Day 2 WS to complete in class.
WS 10.6 A/B was collected. HW: Turn in WS 10.6 A/B and complete the Day 2 WS on Angles of Elevation & Depression. Quiz 10.6 is tomorrow, 4/22. Students received their 10.4 - 10.5 Quizzes back from yesterday. We completed our notes on the angles of elevation and depression. We also reviewed which trig ratio to use in the set up of the problem.
HW: Students are to complete the attached assignment (2 pages). I will collect WS 10.6 A/B tomorrow. Students completed a short entrance slip on the 3 trig ratios and finding their values on a given right triangle (18, 80, 81). Then we completed the last problem from our 10.6 notes and went over WS 10.6 A. Students completed their quiz 10.4 - 10.5.
HW: Complete WS 10.6 side B We reviewed finding a missing side of a right triangle and students completed the short quiz on the trig ratios. Then we completed the first 2 pages of our 10.6 notes, where we found how to find a missing angle in a right triangle when we are given 2 sides. We found the we could guess and check but a much more efficient method is to use the inverse of the trig ratio.

We went over this in class. Students completed an 8 question review finding the missing side of a right triangle using trig ratios.
HW: Quiz 10.4 - 10.5 is Monday, the 10.4/10.5 packet should be done and turned in. Using the boards in the room, students worked were able find the missing side of a given right triangle knowing an angle and a side.

We completed our examples using the trig ratios to find the missing side of a right triangle. Then we listened to the Gettin' Triggy With It video. The link is below.
