HW: Complete WS Calculus Halloween

Some students needed to complete a few questions from their test and they did so in class. Other students were able to see how they did on the test. We will discuss it on Monday. Students used the rest of class to work on a review (chapter P - 2.3) of calculus that created a jack-o-lantern. A few answers were given in class.
HW: Complete WS Calculus Halloween Students completed their test over 2.1 - 2.3. Homework from week 7 was collected.
Please turn in homework from week 8 tomorrow in class. HW: WS AB 04 - Differentiation do problems 12 - 15 We went over the 3 page review from yesterday. We also went over 1 - 11 on WS 04 Differentiation. Then we had time for about 8 review questions.
HW: Turn in homework from week 7 & 8. Test is tomorrow! Students completed a 5 question warm-up that we went over in class. Mr. Miner also came in to talk to the class about AP Physics. Then we went over yesterday's review sheet.
Students were given a final review packet that we will go over tomorrow. Students voted to have the test on Thursday instead of tomorrow. HW: Complete today's review packet and complete any missing work. Test will be on Thursday, 10/29. Please turn in your homework from weeK 7 (see IC for details). Students completed a 5 question warm-up in class. Then we finished going over WS 03 - Definition of the Derivative. We also went over #82, 132, and 134 from the book assignment 2.3.
HW: Complete today's review worksheet 1 - 16 (we added #16 in class). Complete 1 - 12 on WS 04 Differentiation if you have not yet done so. Test will be Wednesday on 2.1 - 2.3. These are the expectations. Students are able to 1) Use and apply the definition of the derivative 2) Use the constant, power, product & quotient rules to find the derivative 3) Be able to write the equation of a tangent line (know that the derivative is the slope of the tangent line) 4) Find a derivative given a graph or a data table 5) Know how to find the average rate of change and instantaneous rate of change 6) Be able to identify or create a derivative graph from a given function 7) Be able to locate where there is a horizontal or vertical tangent line Students completed a 4 question warm-up. We went over this in class. 2.3 Quiz was returned to students. Then we went over:
1) WS 2.2 Tangent Lines & Rates of Change (1 - 6) 2) 1 - 4 on your notes packet 2.2 Functions & their derivative graphs (last 2 pages) 3) WS packet Topic AB 03- Derivative Definition (1 - 10). We'll finish going over this on Monday. Homework: Complete 10 - 12 problems from today's packet WS 04 Differentiation. If you did not complete packet, inside worksheets AB Calculus Step-by-Step #4 and #2, please do so. All of book 2.3 should be done. Students completed a 5 question warm-up. We went over this in class. Then we answered a question about quotient rule. Students had at least 25 minutes on complete their 2.3 Quiz.
Homework: Complete yesterday's packet, inside worksheets AB Calculus Step-by-Step #4 and #2. Tomorrow we will go over: 1) WS packet Topic AB 03- Derivative Definition (1 - 10) 2) WS 2.2 Tangent Lines & Rates of Change (1 - 6) 3) 1 - 4 on your notes packet 2.2 Functions & their derivative graphs (last 2 pages) We completed 4 problems on finding the derivative using tabular data. Students had time to complete the 5 question 2.3 review. We went over this in class. Then we showed how we could use the quotient rule to derive the formulas for derivatives of tangent, cotangent, secant, and cosecant.
HW: Quiz tomorrow on 2.3 (product & quotient rules). Complete the WS Step by Step Calculus #4 (back side of the 4 problems we did in class). Complete book assignment 2.3 by the end of tomorrow (or webassign 2.3 day 2). Bring your book tomorrow. Students completed a 10 question warm-up on derivatives of products and quotients. Students also completed a 4 question review in class. We checked it before the end of class.
HW: Complete the first half of book 2.3 (if not already done) and complete 1- 8 on today's worksheet. Please put your work on another sheet of paper. Students completed 3 derivative graphs as their warm-up. Complete the other 3 for homework.
