HW: None if you completed book assignment 9.3.
Students received their 9.1 quizzes back. We went over common errors, particularly with using the recursive formula. We went over WS 9.3 Test Prep and collected the 9.3 packet. Students also had about 15 minutes of class time to complete their book assignment 9.3.

Students completed their Quiz 9.1 and then used the rest of class to work on the WS 9.3 Packet.
Students will have about 15 minutes of class time tomorrow to complete the book assignment 9.3. Students complete the WS 9.2 Test Prep at the start of class. Then we completed the WS 9.3 Vocab Support as we talked about what is a geometric sequence. We also looked at the explicit formula for a geoemtric sequence and saw how it resembled the exponential growth/decay formula (y = ab^x). We also complete about half of the WS 9.3 Form K.
HW: Complete WS 9.3 Form K and you may start working on the attached WS Think About a Plan. 9.1 Quiz is tomorrow, 4/14. Due to the juniors taking the SAT and some AVID students being on a fieldtrip, the students used the class time to complete the second WS 9.2.

We went over the answers in class. Then we completed the vocabulary support WS 9.2 covering arithmetic sequences. We found that these sequences always have a common difference, d, between terms. We also saw that these are linear patterns. We completed about the first half of WS 9.2 together in class.
HW: Complete today's 9.2 packet. Due to many students absent for the AP Practice Test, we did a final WS 9.1 in class. We went over the book 9.1 questions and collected it as well as the first WS 9.1 Packet.
HW: Complete WS 9.1 Students played an 8 question review game using kahoot. We went over questions from the 9.1 book assignment.
HW: Complete all of book assignment 9.1 (as listed yesterday) We used much of class to practice writing explicit and recursive formulas for a given sequence. We completed WS 9.1 7 - 18. We went over the rest of the 9.1 WS Intro to Sequences.
HW: Page 569 - 571 15 - 32, 36, 40, 42 - 48, 54 - 62 even, 66, 72 - 80 even complete through #48 Students received their district diagnostic test back for feedback. We went over the 1 - 24 work in yesterday's 9.1 packet. 7th hour also went over the 9.1 vocab support page. We practiced writing explicit and recursive formulas for a given sequence.
HW: Complete the WS 9.1 packet from yesterday and on WS 9.1 (from today) do 2, 4, & 5. Students received their chapter 8 tests back and we went over the grading rubric and questions. Any student scoring a 2 or lower can reassess (must complete all of the chapter 8 homework first and then see me to go over the test) and must do so by 4/15.
Then students completed the district diagnostic test (use before starting chapter 9). HW: Complete WS 9.1 vocab support and think about a plan, WS Intro to Sequences do 1 - 24. |
