The day is here! Good luck to all who took the full length AP Exam. The 5 students in class completed their MC non-calculator portion today. Tomorrow, those students will complete the 17 MC calculator portion. The others will have a study hall.
We went over the questions on the practice quizzes (3 of them) that students received last Thursday. They were also given one final training circuit to review for the AP Exam. Those students not taking the AP Exam tomorrow will have an AP style exam in class over the next 3 days. Tomorrow's portion in the (28) multiple choice non-calculator questions.
HW: Study for the AP Exam and get a good night's rest. Bring food & drink for the break and move around as much as possible during the break. Do your best! Students created a group of six and each person lead the discussion on how to solve their set of problems (6 topics were given). Students did a great job discussing with each other.
HW: Students were given a set of 3 quizzes which are to be completed for Monday, 5/8. On quiz 1, skip #6. Students were also given another WS Circuit Training on L'Hopital's Rule. This is the last weekend before your AP Exam on Tuesday! Use your Fast Track to a Five Book and getafive.com. Last after school review will be on Monday, May 8th. Students worked through 2 Circuit Training worksheets. The first reviewed L'Hopital's Rule. Students worked on this for about 10 minutes. Then we started the second one on writing a Riemann Sum as limit. We did the first 7 problems together.
During the last 20 minutes, students worked with a partner on the 7.2 Volume by Cross-sections Quiz. HW: Complete the 2 Circuit Training worksheets and review for the AP Exam. Students received the answers to the 2012 MC Calculator questions. Use the link and go to page 74 to check your MC answers.

Then students were divided into 6 groups which answered questions from the 6 main calculus topics. I came around to each group and provided feedback and answered questions. HW: Be proficient at your set of questions as you will be the lead person in your new group of 6 tomorrow. Our cross-section quiz is moved to tomorrow, 5/3. We went over the Quiz 7.2 today in class. We also went over the last 3 FRQs from 2011.
The 2012 MC Calculator questions were collected today. We'll talk about these tomorrow. HW: Tables were given a set of topic problems to complete.
