Homework: Book assginment 4.4 comple
We used our conjecture from the WS Packet Accumulating Area to make a connection between the antiderivative and the definite integral. We examined the first fundamental theorem of calculus (FTC) and used it to calculate the definite integral. We completed 5 examples in class.
Homework: Book assginment 4.4 comple Students completed a 7 question quiz on the definite integral. Then we did a quick review problem on MRAM, LRAM & RRam with a given data table. Lastly, we finished going over the WS Packet Accumulating Area.
Homework: Complete the WS Packet Accumulating Area & WS Detective's Hat complete #1, 2, 15, & 16 only. We completed a short 4.3 homework quiz (went over answers in class). We also completed the last question on WS Riemann Sum. Finally students completed at least the first page of the WS Packet Accumualting Area.
Homework: Complete WS Packet Accumualting Area and be ready for a short quiz on definite integrals tomorrow. Tomorrow I will collect WS 4.1 Antideriviatives (has warm-up questions 9A, B, C & D on the back), WS 4.1 #2 Antideriviatives (#1 a- l) & book 4.2 & 4.3. We completed 2 practice AP Multiple Choice questions to start the class. Then we went over #48 from book 4.3 and took any questions from book assignmnent 4.3. Then we completed the second question on the Worksheet Riemann Sums.
Also, Students received their 4.1 quizzes back. Homework: Complete book assignment 4.3 & WS Calculus Ripped from the headlines (NFL players performance). We started by completing #47 from book 4.3 together in class (evaluating the definite integral from a given graph). Then we completed the first problem on the WS Riemann Sum. We did a LRAM4, RRAM4, & MRAM4 with the function f(x) = 4 - x^2 on [-2, 2]. We did this problem graphically together and then re-examined the problem by making a table.
Lastly, students completed their 4.1 Quiz on Antiderivatives. Homewor Today we used a given graph and calculated definite integral for different limits of integration. We also explored properties of the definit integrals using the given graph.
We also completed the next two pages in the WS Packet Approximating Area. Homework: Students are to complete this packet tonight. Quiz 4.1 on Antiderivatives is tomorrow, 2/5. Please bring your book to class tomorrow. Today we completed #35 & #36 from book assignment 4.2. Then we worked on the data tables on page 2 of the packet WS Approximating Areas.
We also went over how to use our calculator to find the definite integral (the area under the curve and above the x-axis). Homework: Students are to complete both sides of page 2 on the packet WS Approximating Areas. Today students completed 5 warm-up questions on derivatives and 6 review problems on antiderivatives. We also went over #5 & #6 on WS 4.1 Integrals. Then we went over questions 33, 34, 29 & 30 from book assignment 4.2.
Homework: Complete book 4.2. Be ready to turn in book review from chapter 3, book 4.1 & WS Antiderivative Basics tomorrow. 4.1 Quiz this Thursday, February 6th. |
