You can use the link below for some practice problems with solutions. http://www.intmath.com/differentiation-transcendental/5-derivative-logarithm.php http://www.intmath.com/differentiation-transcendental/6-derivative-exponential.php After our 5 question warm-up, we went over questions on 5.1. Then we went through 5 or more examples where we applied the derivative rule for e^u. Tonight's homework is to complete the book 5.4 assignment.
After going over our 5 warm-up questions, we went over any questions from section 3.9. We took notes on section 5.1 and went over about 9 examples. Tonight's homework is to complete book assignment 5.1. The chapter 5 assignment sheet is on the AP Calculus AB page.

It has all the topics in one place. No need to study integrals, we'll get to that second semester. http://jeffyoshimura.com/files/Calculus%20BC%20Final%20Exam%20Study%20Guide%20-%20semester%201%20v1.3b.pdf Today we discussed the end of the semester. Seniors are only exempt from first semester finals if the meet or exceeded on both PSAE math & English and have a B or higher in the current class. All juniors must take the final. Finals are next week starting Wednesday (for periods 1, 2, 4).
Students completed a 5 question warm-up. Answers were given to the WS 3.7 packet that students had received before Winter Break. Then we discussed 3.9: using the equation of a tangent line to approximate a value and talked about differentials. Tonight's homework is book assignment 3.9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llV8Zo7IbaY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja2Suuuqjvs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPSNisGXe7U |
