HW: Complete WS 6.2. This will be collected tomorrow, 1/18.
Due to students being on the Hamilton fieldtrip, we played 2 Kahoot games to review simplifying radicals and multiplying radicals. We also completed and collected WS 6.2 Test Prep.

We started with a 7 question warm-up from our work on 6.1 (test prep). Then we reviewed how to multiply and divide radicals. We did about 6 examples together. We completed the 6.2 vocab support page and students are to complete the back side 1 -24.
HW: WS 6.2 1 - 24. We went over the front side of WS 6.1 and completed the back side together. This was collected at the end of class. Then we completed our notes column on multiplying and dividing radicals. Students used the graphing calculator to simplify and check their answers. Students completed 1 - 6 on WS 6.2 in class.

Students had a work day on simplifying radicals. Students had the whole class period to complete the last page of the WS Simplifying Radicals (attached to their notes) and complete the front side of WS 6.1.
HW: Complete front side of WS 6.1 & last page of Homework Simplifying Radicals (attached to the notes). This semester we will study non-polynomial functions. We are starting the semester by looking at radical functions. We completed 2 columns of our notes on radicals and how to simplify them. We examined parts of the radical and looked at square roots and cube roots of different radicands. Students were shown how to use the radical template on the TI-Nspire calculator as well as how to find the factors of a number.
We completed the most of class work page attached to our class notes. Students also completed a simplifying radicals maze and we completed the first column on the back side which simplified more square roots.
