Students chose to what the video about American Architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
We showed how to use desmos.com and daysold.com to show how each student can create their own biorhythm graph. Students can look back or ahead to see when their peak days are and when their critical days (x-ints.) occur.

Students turned in their work from chapter 11 and their review. They completed their last test!
HW: Read the first page of the WS Biorhythms and find out how many days you have been alive. We went over work on conditional probability from WS 11.4. Then we discussed questions on the review 11.1 - 11.4. Students also received a take-home quiz over sections 11.3 - 11.4. Solutions are posted on the HONORS ALGEBRA 3-4 page (click the tab above).
HW: Turn in work from chapter 11, including the review. Last test 11.1 - 11.4 is tomorrow. Students received back their Quiz 11.1 - 11.2 and we discussed many of the questions. We went over the entire last page. Then students turned in their books. Lastly, we discussed the formula for conditional probability: P(A|B) = P(A and B)/P(B). We found that if the information was in a chart, finding P(A|B) was very easy: find the particular cell (has A & B and it the numerator) then look for the particular row or column (denominator). If there is no chart, you will need to use the formula.

We completed a packet on how to create and use tree diagrams to find conditional probability.

Bring your book to return on Monday, 5/21. We played 2 Kahoot games to review the counting principle, permutations, combinations and probability. Then students had 15 -20 minutes to work on their Quiz 11.1 - 11.2. Students should be able to complete their quiz in 5 - 10 minutes tomorrow. Students should complete WS 11.3 packet.
HW: Complete WS 11.3 packet & do problems 1 - 4 on the tree diagram packet. Use the link below for assistance on the tree diagrams. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkDzmI7YOx0 We went over WS 11.2 Form G and worked out problem #13 together and the sample space problem. We also went over the 5 problems on the WS 11.2 Test Prep. Then we completed the WS 11.3 Reteaching sheet front and back.

Quiz 11.1 - 11.2 is tomorrow, 5/17. We have collected the worksheets from 11.1 & 11.2. Please turn these in if you have not yet done so. Students had a work in class day. Students were to complete their WS 11.2 and WS 11.2 Test Prep. Students should read through page 681 - 685 in the textbook.
HW: Complete page 686 - 687 17 - 33 odd (check your answers in the back) and 37 - 40 We showed a clip from The Price is Right on the game Let Em' Roll. We used this scenario to demonstrate how we can simulate the game. With the simulation, we are able to figure out the probability of winning a car with 3 rolls of the dice. Students learned about the random number generator on the calculator and how to change the "seed" to make it truly random.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjFIghC5HOQ HW: Complete WS 11.2 Reteaching and WS Practice 11.2 (front side, not simulations). Quiz 11.1 - 11.2 is on 5/16. Students received their Test 13.4 - 13.7 back. We discussed common errors. Those students who wish to retake must do so by Friday, May 18th. We also went over WS 11.1 Test Prep. Together we worked on the 11.2 Reteaching which reviewed theoretical and experimental probability.
