We completed our quiz on 1.1 - 1.2. Homework is to complete book assignment 1.3. Have a good weekend. Go Sabres! Check out Trig limits: http://integralcalc.com/trigonometric-limits/ Students did their 5 warm-up problems and received their exit slips back from yesterday. We discussed questions on the exit slip and students had the opportunity to complete another similar slip today. We also became familiar with our Limit properties. We used those properties to calculate limits.
Tonight's homework is to continue working on book assisgnment 1.3 and be ready for the Quiz 1.1 - 1.2 which is tomorrow. The link below will give additional practice finding limits graphically (1.2). If you'd like any extra help, tomorrow morning I will be in C215 at 7:00. http://archives.math.utk.edu/visual.calculus/1/limits.19/index.html Today we went over questions on book assignment 1.2. Students also completed an exit slip on finding function values and limits graphically. We also examined how to find a limit algebraically. Tonight's homework is to complete "your" column problems on the worksheet and start working on book assignment 1.3. Quiz 1.1 - 1.2 will be this Friday, September 14th.
While doing our 5 warm-up questions, we listened to the Unit Circle Trigonometry song. We did more examples of determining a limit graphically. Homework is to complete today's worksheet and finish book 1.2
Today we looked at what a limit is and how to find a limit graphically. We went over some pre-made graphs and watched a video to summarize what a limit is. You can view the video again by using the link below.
http://www.calculus-help.com/tutorials/ Tonight's homework is to start working on assignment 1.2. Please bring your book tomorrow! Students received their Chapter P test part II. (7th hour will get them tomorrow.) Tonight parents should be able to check student's grades on Infinite Campus. Students received part I of their chapter P test. We went over questions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ismnD_QHKkQ We had our test on chapter P - a non-calculator part and calculator section. Tonight's homework is to read section 1.1.
Today we worked out our five warm-up problems and reviewed our trig with the unit circle. Everyone had a chance to test their data analysis skills. We answered questions on P.4. Students had time to work on the review assignment and ask additional questions. Tonight's homework is to complete the review assignment and be ready for the test tomorrow. On the test you will have 9 non-calculator questions and 14 calculator questions.
Today we went over Quiz P.3 and our 5 warm-up questions. Students with the TI-Nspire met in C215 to go over data enter and analysis. I will be in C215 tomorrow morning (come in 7:00 or later) if you would like additional help.
We completed the circled problems on the Black Bear Cubs worksheet. Please keep that. You may start the review assignment tonight. Tomorrow we will review for our test on Thursday, September 6th. Homework to be turned in by tomorrow in P.3, P.4 & the WS Family of Functions. |
