Students were given the first 15 minutes of class to complete their 6.1 - 6.3 test. Then we went through some additional set up of integrals for a given shaded region.
Use the www.getafive.com resources or you Fast Track to a Five prep book to study for the AP Exam. HW: Book 7.1 or webassign 7.1 We completed our notes and example on area between curves. We used our understanding of the integral as the area under the curve to help us come up with formulas for given areas. We found that if we are accumulating slices from left to right the integrand is top - bottom and if we accumulates slices from bottom to top the integrand is right - left.

Then students took their test.
HW: Sign up on www.getafive.com or use your Fast Track to a Five prep book (chapter 5, page 138 and beyond to review further on 6.1 - 6.3) Non-attendance day for seniors and juniors took the SAT.
HW: Test 6.1 - 6.3 is tomorrow, 4/13. We went over the 7 questions from last Thursday's review sheet. Students also completed their Quiz 6.2 - 6.3 if they were absent on Friday. Students also received an additional review packet with the solutions.
HW: Complete all your work from 6.1 - 6.3 (book 6.1 was optional) as the test on 6.1 - 6.3 is Wednesday, 4/13. Students were given the 17 MC calculators questions from a released AP Exam and completed those in class. Students also finished their quiz from yesterday if they needed to.
HW: Complete the review worksheet (given out yesterday) and any remaining work from 6.2, 6.3. We will review on Monday and test 6.1 - 6.3 will be Wednesday, 4/13. Students solved 6 differential equations at the start of class. We checked these and 2 of the MC exponential growth/decay problems. Students started their quiz and those who are here tomorrow will complete the quiz 6.2/6.3. A review sheet was handed out for those absent tomorrow.
HW: Complete book 6.2, 6.3 and any worksheets (6.2, exponential growth/decay, AP Calc 28-FTC) Sign up for online AP Calculus AB practice using the steps below. 1. Click on the "Join a Class" tab on the left and enter this code: 2XDF6FR We worked through 9 different examples of solving a differential equation. Some of the equations we were given an initial condition to use to find the particular solution.
HW: Complete book 6.3 or webassign 6.3 and today's WS on Exponential Growth/Decay . Quiz tomorrow over 6.2-6.3. Your review packet on Topic AB 28 - FTC & Topic 30 AB - Motion w/ Integrals should be done by tomorrow. Today we looked at a special case for a differential equation dy/dt = cy. We found that if we solve this differential equation we obtain the y = y0e^(ct) (or Pe^(rt) formula). We completed 3 examples together. Students also received their last assignment sheet of the year.
